Bored with tacticool black G10 handles I was looking for an elegant EDC knife, more "environment friendly" and finally I found the very beautiful:
Boker Special Run Thorn Mokuti
This unique knife, designed by Jim Burke, comes in several different versions, but in combination with the excellent Chad's Nichols work, the Mokuti is by far the most unusual version. The Mokuti is made from a two titanium alloys forged together in a complicated process, similar as a Damascus. The blacksmith Chad Nichols is one of the few people in the world who create original Damascus patterns, and in the case of Mokuti he shows a real mastery. The Boker manufactory has used this unique material to make a complete handle. The Thorn is well complemented with a blade of the premium powder metallurgical CPM S35-VN steel with a very high edge retention. The blade is finished in two stages - the upper part has satin finish and the rest of the blade is polished smooth.
Contoured blade has a fairly large distinctive nail nick which reminds me a bird like eagle.

In summary, I can definitely say that the Boker Thorn Mokuti is my favorite pocket knife.
The S35VN steel which has an extremely high edge retention and a working sharpness is excellent for an EDC use. The Mokuti handle is very impressive with an elegant touch and the eye-catching look. This knife is a very useful tool but also the very exceptional item for collectors.
