"Klein Tools, Inc. Japan 44032"

I just think of it as unusual because I never heard of a knife from Klein Tools.

Has a little bit of play if you torque it hard enough, but still solid overall. Solid lockup.

I don't think the woman who gave it to me knows how happy I am to have it. She doesn't want it, because she associates it with a bad relationship/divorce.

When I was a student, I'd work summers in a pulp & paper mill and the company would issue that very same Klein lockback from Stores. I used to have one but, sadly, it's been lost over the years. Very nice little lockback and I wish I still had it. Nice grab, OP!

Nice find! I'm hoping to get the larger version of that one, the 44034 soon. My Dad carries one. I found a different model Klein at an antique mall last summer, but they don't seem to be too common. Keeping an eye out, though.

Actually Klein tools knives have been around for years..... However, only professional electricians knew about them... most times they were given away when buying Klein tools at the Electricians supply or you could purchase one.... Hawkbills, 2&3 bladed Electrians knife and several other styles.... And they're still sold today.

I've never heard of Klein Tools knives but it seems that their electricians models are made in USA and the other models
are made in Japan. Which in this day and age is pretty darn impressive. Very nice find.

My father has that exact same model. It came with some type of reward he received from Enron when he worked there. I bet he still has it. He actually used to use it, and last time I saw it the blade was full of chips and dings.
