Hello All,

I purchase this knife this past weekend at a church sale. I am looking to find out the country of origin and possibly the maker. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm no expert, but that looks to me like someone took a tool, a chisel possibly, and tried to grind it down into a knife. As far as the marks on the blade they don't really look like an intentional maker's mark. My guess is that's someone's attempt at learning stock removal or just working with metal in general, so odds are it's somebody in or near the town you bought the knife in.
 
The handle is reminiscent of some cleavers I have seen. Perhaps a ground down Chinese cleaver.
