Since then I’ve not seen another. Is this a rare model? Not interested in value so much as rarety. I gave it to my dad and we found it in his tackle box. I want to give it to my son. I don’t want him to trash it if it’s scarce. It’s unusually large for a SAK. The main blade locks.

Thanks Ed

I think the slide lock versions of the 111mm SAKs have been phased out. Looking on the Vic website, I don't see any of the smaller bottle openers that are dead-ringers for the slide lock set up, and there aren't any good views of the Alpineer or Equestrian to really tell. My guess is that exact model is no longer produced, although there are a couple Ranger Grips (120mm) with the curved blade.

As said, this is a retired model and the some of the 111mm are being phrased out, so in some way it may become rare in the future.

But this is a knife once used by your dad and may soon become a family heirloom to your son, in itself is the priceless memories that would make it a unique item.
