It seems that Victorinox is doing more advertising these days. There is a full page Victorinox ad in the current issue of National Geographic. If NG runs a full page ad like that, it can only be positive...giving a lot of the people in the US who have lately viewed knives as weapons a whole different perspective that they are just tools.

Personally I would consider putting Macgyver back on TV as advertising. It's all the advertising they will ever need in my opinion.

Where was this railroad car advertising for Victorinox? I find it difficult to believe it was in the USA!!
The next step will be to have knife advertising inside city buses - I can just imagine some of the legal hassles and "constitutional rights" issues that will ensue.

That's very cool. I love seeing knives in the mainstream. The SAK is a good ambassador to the non-knife world.

Right On. As a misfit science teacher, I can always find a use for the SAK. Now we need to incorporate knife use and knowledge into the school curriculum.

As public schools begin to implement Common Core standards and tests based on this, perhaps forum members can petition the education department to include test questions based upon knowledge of the Swiss Army Knife.

The advertisement was on a Swiss tanker trailer. The whole side of the trailer was one massive Victorinox add. The picture was taken in Belgium,Europe.
I will ask if i can take a full picture next time i see the trailer again.
