Unwanted Protective oil on white wood handle!

Hi. I had a knife made and while they were using the usual oils to protect the blade in transit etc some of the oil has seeped into the handle of which I assume they should have shielded first by wrapping in other covering to prevent this happening. Anyway I need to know will this eventually dry out or can I do some process to get rid as the staining has ruined the look for me of which this has happened to the first half of the handle from the blade.
Any help with this matter would be gratefully appreciated.
Cheers
Steve

Warm water, with a teaspoon of baking soda, and a toothbrush should do the trick.
Not too much water, but not too paste like.
Lightly brush, dab with towel....repeat.

K2R spot remover. Spray on, wait over night, vacuum off. Repeat until the oil is all gone.

I used this method to get caster oil out of balsa wood that had soaked in it for a year. It was dry as could be and look like new after the K2R. It took about 5 treatments.

Good recommendation, thanks. Little research seems to suggest this may be the solution I'm after.

Just a quick note to say that this advice had a fantastic result.
same treatment given, brushed and with some buffing gave me the original work back. I can appreciate the knife now and can start on its display theme. I thought the only option was the hassle returning the custom made piece for a replacement but this saved the day. Thank you.
