That one is a true satin. I believe the '98's came in Satin, Black and Bead Blasted, and the CN was a 1999 thing on 500 sets of 7's and Commanders. I have some pics of the CN finish on a set of the knives that it was on in 1999 here ...and in my pocket this moment. My EDC is a CN CQC-7.
I love the CN finish. If you're interested in the CN models from 1999 I have a couple pics there about them, as well as a YT vid that shows them (and explains Chromium Nitride, to boot!)
