The last knife I posted, The W-2 for Canineforge, was a bit different, what with the hamon and no filework, so here's one I just finished, same old...

10 1/4 inches of forged 1075, multi-bar Damascus fittings, file-worked n/s case handle with Mammoth scales

Ok I'm Sorry ..
I Have nothing But unabashed Love for that knife
especially the carved guard treatment call it a moustache guard really elegant!
is this bound for Blade?

Somehow I like this knife even better than the one before. Is it for sale? :D

One concept you may want to play with is to facet the handle into a 6- or 8- sided profile rather than 4-sided.

Oops, should have said this is going out to client.

Joss, I do like to shape the handles more, but many of the best Mammoth scales have the color on the immediate surface, and extra contouring winds up losing the "pretty".

Thanks,

John

Love the carving on the guard! You been hanging out with Larry Fuegen?

Very tasteful work. I particularly
like that the frame for the handle
is a bit thinner than the blade spine.

Beautiful knife, Iwouldn't call it tricks more like "magic":thumbup: is what you do Mr. White!

I think I'm in love. With the bowie, I mean.

Can't wait to see what you're bringing to Blade.

No doubt! Up to your old magic is right. Really like this one, John. Stretching your tremendous finish work out on these larger blades is very appealing, in deed. Great guard design and size. Another happy client. Glad you shared this one.

I find this to be an excepyionally good looking knife. The angle that the first photo was taken from makes the handle look short, but I'm sure it's just the photo. This is an optical illusion that I have noticed many times. What is the handle length?

Nice knife!

The Mammoth Ivory is superb!

The fit and finish is

Thanks for posting it,

Kyle

I really like that knife. The lines are very clean. Do you have a website?

I love the big frame handled bowies. Great piece John.

Beautiful guard treatment and the ivory is outstanding.:thumbup:
