The members of this forum are the best folks around. You guys 'took me in' back when i first joined in early 2007 and knew almost nothing about knives.
I quickly became an enthusiastic Schrade collector because the information here and the help so readily offered to my frequent questions made these knives so much more interesting as i learned their associated history.
I have since expanded into collecting many other brands, but Schrade U.S.A. and related brands remain the heart of my collection.
In thanks i would like to post a "Giveaway" thread when i get closer to 4000 posts. I know still over 300 to go but maybe i'll hold it early.
I certainly don't have a collection like Aussie Larry, or Harold, or many of you, but i got a few, eh.
So what Schrade knife would you like to have a chance at ?
I'm really feeling thankful so don't be shy.

Very kind Roland. I felt the same way when I found this site last year. People are welcoming, knowledgeable and as obsessed with Schrade as I am lol.

I bought a new laptop so I am pleased to be "back" after a 6 month absence.

Glad to be back! -Dave

What a great gesture, Roland! I would really be interested in one of the usual cast-off 2OT's or blue rope-jigged bone 2004 hunters, or any of the blue jigged bone knives for that issue that never really got off the ground very well. :( . Holy smokes! 4000! That's a lot of palaver! :). I bought my first (collectible) Schrade in December of '07.

O.K. ! the first suggestions, but darn, i don't have a 2OT or any of the blue knives.
61OT is nice, as are the Herman Williams ones. nice Folding Hunters too.
i have at least 250 to choose from (maybe more, i can't count that high).

I just got my hopes up on an Ebay purchase, only to find out it was a Taylor and had to cancel the order. :grumpy: I request a BT01 Roland. Can you do a free give away with $20.00 shipping to the winner? :D

Shipping will be on me. Don't have a BT01 either, but i do have the Imperial M-7S complete with box, camo sheath and survival gear, and an XT1B which would make a good Camp knife.
please keep suggestions coming.

Darn Michael, i don't have that one either !
So maybe i should some of what i do have. I've picked out a few that are ones i like and are a bit less commonly found.

Here's A DU set with a 147OT

Roland,
First off, nice gesture! Thank you in advance for your generosity. That said, I've always liked the "fixer-uppers". Something potentially nice that needs some TLC. Those have been done here before. Not sure if you have any bottom of the toolbox specials, and I'm not trying to turn your 4000 into a "get-rid-of-my-junk" giveaway, this is just what I like to do.

If that's a bad idea I think you're onto something with an SFO offering or even a 100th anniversary

My 2-cents.

Greg

HMMM, not much interest in those, so anything here interesting ?

Jim Bowie 8OT

How 'bout "Old Crafty"

The Old Crafty and the Jim Bowie Roland are really nice Schrades. Anyone should be thrilled to win an 80T knife. All of your options are a cut above in my opinion.

O.K. since you asked Dave, My Buffalo Bill FB. this is an early one as it's not stamped BB

very solid knife. great for all Schrade Buffalo hunters.

Roland, I have refrained from commenting on YOUR;) generosity!! My take is YOU give what you would like to see someone else have, me personally I wold be honored to have what ever you are willing to part with :D.
BTW some really nice examples you are showing and several I do not have!!:D

Thanks to all who have posted so far, especially those who have stated a preference.
I am having fun showing off a few knives, but i do want to have the gift be something that others might actually want, hence the request for input if something i post 'grabs' you.
If you just give away something you don't feel attached to, it's not much of a gift.
After awhile, largely depending on how busy the 'rest of life' is, i'll decide on a knife (or knives) and start a new thread for the "Gratitude Giveaway". I'm not going to wait until i make another app. 300 inane posts.

Okay, twist my arm. Old Crafty or the 36OT are saweet!
I guess they could be stored in a puddle for a week and then refurbished. :D
Some nice stuff there Roland.

Cool! There are two herds of bison here. I always wanted to skin one. That knife might do it. I have the Sears version of this knife (Delrin handle), but not the Buffalo version.

That's some cool stuff yer got there. The LB7DP is what I like but I have always been partial to the big folders. Anything you want to give is fine and dandy too. Question is, what would you like if ya had a chance at a give away?

Michael, you NEED this knife. I'll put up 2, this BB FB and a folder. double your chances at the "Kootenay Joe Giveaway" (that's my other name eh !)
and "what would you like if ya had a chance at a give away?"
I know the answer to this: a minty SCC or Ulster Knife Co. Dogleg Jack !
Probably only Charlie has one (or more likely, a few).
Kinda busy right now with garden harvesting, but i'll try to look out a few more folders to post.
