more specifically I'm interested in finding out if Busse plans any runs of the NMFBM in 2015? I see the anniversary editions for sale and they look very nice, but I'm more interested in the current version.

Have you tried the Custom Shop to see if they can do you one up ?? More chance of that than another production run I suspect.
 
I thought I heard that they were getting a little tired of all this work on fixed blades, and were planning to set them aside in 2015, for a few years, to concentrate on Barlow, Stockman, Muskrat, and Jack knives, Jerry's secret passion all these years.
 
I checked in at the custom shop last month, and that was one of the available blades. It would be worth a call to see if they're still running them.

You must be new around these parts. We can try to help you understand life in the Busseverse.

Jerry seldom announces any firm plans in advance. When he does, it seldom comes to pass. ( see Basic 8 )

Strickly speaking, there is no 'current' version of the NMFBM, there is only the ones that were made a few years ago, and any stragglers that occasionally show up at shows or in 'Ganzas. IMHO, it is unlikely that we would see another run of the NMFBM any time soon. And, even if we did, they would not be the same blade as last time. If you are looking for one of those, then you have three choices:

1. Haunt the Exchange, and wait for one to show up.
2. Post a WTB.
3. Call the Custom Shop, as suggested above. It seems like Busse keeps extra blade blanks available after a run, probably for warranty claims, and therefore one has a fair shot of getting a knife made up from those.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's usually a few offered at the shows. If you can't make it you can try to find a proxy (someone who's going that can buy one for you)
 
No it is so we can switch out his Cabo for Jack Daniels. You ever watched a baby take a bite of a lemon. His reaction is pretty much the same. LOL
