The Spyerdo forums are garbage. Anyone have word on what Spyderco is gonna release next? G10 only.

(Those lightweight models are for <insert offensive insults>. They also bother the s out of me because Maxamet is only available in lightweight.)

I'm still waffling between the slim or original profile scales. I really like the ones I have on this right now:

The Flytanium ones aren't bad for aesthetics sake, but make the knife much heavier overall. These Rockscale linerless ones however, are on a whole different level.

I like your selection of super steels!

I only use Applied Weapons Tech scales from now on. They have a 3rd screw at the lanyard. Which is absolutely necessary IMO. A guy here did it himself. I tried myself but couldn't find a double threaded barrel spacer.

I never even considered AWT. I'm a Ti snob 😆

I haven't had any issues with the lack of a 3rd body screw. If i find that it's necessary, the top and right clip screws have corresponding holes tapped on the other scale that don't go through to the show side. I can always use a 1/2" 2-56 screw with a standoff 😉

I'm still kinda mad that skeletonized liners are still being reserved for sprints and the S110V version. Spyderco could at least make those standard across all Manix 2s.

I'm ordering a set of linerless scales and destroying the grey FRN handle that the Maxamet blade comes in.

The blades are completely interchangeable between the two? That's good to know. Cause I have a BHQ M4 LW model that I don't plan on using until someone releases a scale sets for the LW. Hoping that's on the horizon since Spyderco is switching to screwed construction.

I don't own a Manix. Probably will soon though just because there are so many styles. I can get a pinned one for a hundo just to see if I like it. I mean how much can I dislike it, it's a Spyderco right?

I have been preferring the Native 5 to the Sage 5 lately because of the Native's better and thinner shape. Anyone else notice this?

Manix seems kind of like a bigger, thinner, Sage style leaf blade which is cool.

I'm not on any of the social media groups like Reddit and Facebook, I'd try asking there. Personally hoping for a REC 10V (Satin and DLC) Coyote Tan G10 Manix 2 eventually. There's always Bento BS ..they have many of the older runs. Of course you'll pay a premium for them.

DA170 DA170 Ya, I hate Reddit. Never had facebook, never will. Although, my friend says the market there is full of everything. I just can't force myself to create an account.

I just bought another S110V. I've never collected knives. However, I now have a reason to buy several Manix.... I just want to grab another when the edge goes higher than a 120 BESS or so and sharpen them all at once now that I can do a knife in under 10min.

I'm still upset about not getting 15V.

I would LOVE Rex 121.

I finally decided I was going to try a swap with the Maxamet blade and now bladehq and dltrading doesn't have them in stock. Vendors are limited because I need them laser engraved.... *sigh

The S110V G10 was one of my first Spyderco knives, Love that model! I've been carrying the Maxamet version the last few weeks. With all the 15V hype I forgot how lucky we are to have this amazing Carpenter steel available. IMG_20230524_161816_(20_x_30_cm).jpg

Not really a fan of the LW version either, or rather I just dislike the riveted construction which thankfully they're doing away with. I just prefer G10 in general. Did this a few months back, not too difficult if you have a drill press and the right drill bit.
