Greetings everyone!
I would like to tell you a little about an upcoming series of American built watches we will be attempting to bring to market with a crowd fund effort in March.
No doubt many of you have heard of our efforts to build watches in the USA in an effort to raise funds for charity. Some of you may also be familiar with our current MM0 models. In 2015 we would like to be able to raise a lot more funds for charity with our efforts than we have been able to do thus far.
We plan to do this by offering a new lower priced series of American built watches which we hope more people will be able to afford. These will also be a smaller size to fit those with smaller wrists. We have also found many of our followers are not necessarily watch collectors but still like to wear watches but they prefer much more traditional sized watches. So taking all of these points into consideration we have come with our MM1 series.
Several suggested via social media the idea of naming these after battles from the American Revolutionary war.
We opted to go with that suggestion and decided to select battles which were won by America.
So here is what we came up with.
Bennington which will be used on our models with black dial.
Yorktown
Cowpens
Spec's:
38.5mm width
C3 Superluminova
Sapphire crystal
Seiko VX42 movement
Black leather watch strap
Water resistant to 100 meters
Built in the USA
We currently plan to offer these at a discounted price as part of the crowd funding effort for under $275 each.
We had considered offering these in a larger 41mm size with an automatic movement but our costs would drive up the price we would need to sell those for. As we have a strong desire to offer an American built watch that is affordable for more people. While still being able to raise funds for charity. We opted to go with the above spec's and a quartz movement.
