Two questions, are they being discontinued this year? I have heard rumors that they are.
#2- what is a fair price from a dealer (they seem to vary for 790-855), and a fair price bnib on the exchange?
Thanks guys

***UPDATE: i have just been informed by Alicia at CRK the they have officially stopped production of Mammoth Inlay Sbenzas. They have limited supply on hand for warranty/replacement inlays, but supply is VERY limited.
Anyone looking for a New production mammoth bark/ivory Sebenza, now is the time to grab the few remaining ines left in dealer inventory.

From what I have heard, they are no longer taking orders for them and are only filling orders they already had.

Do you know what a fair price is brand new in box on the exchange?

There aren't that many to choose from-they don't come up for sale that often, and the prices are all over the place. Seller usually starts pretty close to retail and work down if it doesn't sell. Some get fairly cheap considering. Blues and green colors fetch more, large are more than smalls generally. So it come down to how much you like the knife and when you decide to pull the trigger before someone else does and you are left without, with a considerable wait for another to come up for sale.
Sorry but not easy giving a hard and fast number

I understand, thank you. Trying to just get a feeler. Found a large for 700 shipped. I think im gonna buy it. Has a darkish/green hue on the presentation side slabs also.

See signature!

A large for $700 I would jump on except I want a Damascus blade. I did find a small from two dealers. One I bought for a fair price, the other wanted several hundred more than retail. So, yea, prices may vary greatly.

A bit of advice, but its no secret....you can order a damascus blade from CRK. Get the mammoth knife you want and then order yourself a damascus blade from CRK. Its a fun endeavor which gives you time to enjoy the knife with a regular steel like s30 or s35 and then about a year later(yes, it takes about a year for your order to be filled) get it fitted with a damascus blade of YOUR choosing!

That's what I've done. I ordered a ladder pattern blade about a month and a half ago so I got a while to wait but then I can get the thumb lug configuration I want. Double silver!!

Well, i grabbed a Large 21 from ES on sale for 20% OFF!! $702 shipped.
With silver hardware (i havnt seen many with silver, usually gold), they have one left, i think i may grab that one too with the current ivory bans taking place and CRK no longer ordering any more mammoth bark for inlays.
Im extremely excited about this knife, its one of those things that will stay in the family hopefully long after im underground haha. unfortunately it doesnt look like ivory sebenzas will be available much longer after speaking with CRK today.

No they don't. ;)

Sorry. :D

Oh and Tripton, pretty sure that was the LAST large 21 mammoth for sale from a dealer on the whole internet. Trust me, ive been searching. Stupid me, ES offered me 25%off if i bought both. Dumb on my part.

I had been eyeing it for a little while. I bought a "Tanked" from them last week, and was on the fence about a mammoth for a long time now.

I just couldn't hold off any longer.

At least you got first pick. :D

Bladegallery, Large 21 Mammoth still on stock for those interested. Smalls at Warriors and Wonders, and KSF.

Thanks kid, saw those but barks are all gone it appears. Im suprised more crk fans arent upset over the new extinction of the mammoth. :,(

I'm more upset that my lot in life is such that I can't afford one!:o I am lucky to have several CRKs, but I justify them as users. The mammoth are that much more expensive, and I can't imagine dropping one in the gravel, or just losing it. They are just beyond that threshold for me, and I don't really need a "dress knife" for now. I will regret not picking one up I am sure.
