Got the stand done for this one -
Sorry the photos aren't better - was having a "bad camera" day
The stand is made from rosewood. The bark tan leather wrapped edge is accented with iron tacks. The metal work is an antique (1880's) horse bit with other parts from the harness. Pieces of stag for hi-lites. The wood is finished with 14 coats of hand-rubbed traditional 18th century violin varnish - a mix of heat polymerized cold pressed linseed oil, rosin, thickened turpentine, and lead drier.
Bottom pic is a bit better pic of the sheath than I previously presented.
