Hey!!! It's Andy...posting from Ranger Justin's profile.
This year's Best Ranger Competition is BETTER than ever!!!!
15 Teams endured Day 1 from the original 46...our event was the first of the morning, Day 2.
This year, the Tomahawk/Knife Throw featured the Vietnam Tactical Tomahawk and our new Best Ranger Throwing Knife, designed by Justin Gingrich!!! The event was once again, a BIG hit among Ranger Teams and spectators. They LOVED the Vietnam Tactical and the new Ranger Thrower. I will be posting pics on Tuesday for everyone's pleasure.
Bobby Branton was missed this year and the NCOIC's running our event all asked for him and his lovely wife Brenda...he was TOOOOO funny last year and they missed him.
Some visitors who tried their hand at the event included
Stormy Stormes from Camelback
Travis Mitchell from SureFire
John Carver from Eagle Industries
John Stitt from Ka-Bar
Joe Galli, CEO of Rubbermaid
CSM Jimmy Spencer, frmr Command Sgt. Major of the Army
Phil Piazza, President of the Merrill's Marauders Association
The Army Times came by again and wanted to learn more about the Vietnam Tactical Tomahawk, as its modern configuration and review status by the Army as an issue item was of great interest. It should be noted that after hundreds of throws from spectators and Ranger Teams, we did not have ANY product failure...and used ONE Vietnam Tactical for the entire day.
The Outdoor Life Network will be featuring a 3 hour documentary on Best Ranger, prime time, during the month of May and American Tomahawk Company will be featured on the program...check your local listings, as the documentary features Ollie North, who was present all day today, narrating and hosting the program. As we get more details, we will post them here.
That's all for now...I'll check in again soon.
PS....the new and improved MAXes are looking totally hot and our website will have updated pics of EVERYTHING soon.
Thanks to all of you from us, for your support and enthusiasm.
