I live about 30 minutes from Emerson and have this week off, so I figured I'd drive down. Does anyone know if the knives there have any discount, or are they full retail list?

Full retail plus sales tax. No factory tour either.

By the way, the battleship USS Iowa is only 5 miles south of Emerson Knives!

Remember the showroom hours are 9am to 3pm. Give yourself at least an hour to check out as many knives as you'd like. When I was there in August there were a few more visitors and the showroom is small. So, I'd try and get there by 1pm.

Good luck and have fun.

Coming from North Hollywood...Probably leave around 10AM.

Hey Screwdriver, have fun and post a couple of pics--last time I was there (about a year ago) I took a pic holding the giant Roadhouse (cardboard)--it looks pretty real and makes for a pretty funny snapshot. Enjoy!

It is sweet to have all the options at hand, but still a pretty spendy spot to visit. Any scores?

Two week old update....

I could not get down to the shop when I posted this......The day I had the time, the freeways were fubared. But today I was in the area and stopped by.

I was kinda underwhelmed by the showroom....a little bigger then a restaurant bathroom...but hey, it is still the mothership. Anyhow, I wanted to look at a Micro Commander, but was told they are discontinued and out of stock even though their website shows them "In Stock". So I ended up buying a Mini Commander, stonewashed plain edge. Absolutely love the knife. Blade perfectly centered with early lockup.

So when I got home, I noticed some changes from a 2015 (non-dated) Mini CQC-7 that I bought a little while ago.

Both liners are now the same thickness, and is really obvious compared to my Mini 7 and my older 2011 CQC-8. The side that is supposed to be steel, looks like the same material (titanium) as the lock side. Also, the opposite side from the Pivot screw is recessed where my Mini 7 has the screw side recessed and the opposite flat side flush. The screw side sits up more and would keep large screwdriver heads from chewing up the G10.

Here are some pics....

Hard to see the recess....

Thanks for the update.
You need a 7.

Yeah...I was looking for a black/serrated non-waved CQC-7 and they were out of stock. They had a non-waved black plain edge....

The Mini Commander was next on my list....but I also wanted to see the Micro Commander.

the micro commander was my first. Really nice little knife and pocket friendly

Another point....I saw on EKI website that they are giving 3x points on the Commander series. So I called to see if I could get the points credited to my EKI account....nope, not if you buy in person....just online.
