Just got in!:D
Things have changed at CRK since I owned (a Regular small & large ).
For the better:).
Oh I love it!
The blade finish is more satin than stonewash, the old Regular was more "industral".(no prob either way)
The edge was polished, not so with the reg's. It was sharp, but had a little "hanging chad", aka bur. Fixed that quickly with the strop. Now it is a smooth cutter.
Of course, it is all smooth as butter, lockup & etc as I expected.
Now for the whole reason I got it, the micarta, yes the look of it is nothing short of magnificent, the extra feel of grip is just what I wanted. Glad I saved up and got it.
This is a fit1:thumbup:

I'm excited for you!! Sounds like a great addition. I have one coming next week. So I can't wait! They are a beautiful knife! Congrats!

I love the look of the wood inlay, but for grip you can't beat the micarta! I like how the frame is not polished with the micarta, I wish that was an option with some of the other inlays

The micarta inlay is awesome. I didn't think I'd like it so much over the regular but it's such a big improvement. Just a great knife.

Congrats!

Big fan of Micarta. I also like the fact that the Micarta inlaid models have the sandblasted finish rather than the satin finish on the handles.

Another note, the micarta on this knife is HARD. I handled other knives with micarta and they are softer. CRK must get a special product??

If I were to ever buy a CRK it would be a Micarta Sebenza 21.
Glad to hear that you are happy with your purchase.

Micarta is basically linen compressed with an epoxy, correct? All the micarta I've come across has been quite hard. Interesting...

Congrats. The micarta inlays really do improve the knife, and the Insingo blade is just icing on the cake!

This is canvas micarta, linen micarta is usually hard.
Also there is paper micarta.
