Want to start out by saying that this was a fun and easy sheath mod. So heres a update on the mods I have been working.
1. Started out by snipping off the rivets that held factory webbing
2. Odered OD green webbing in 2" and in 3/4".
3. Used some scrap aluminum and cut it to fit between webbing
4. Craft store for matching thread and some snaps
5. Local hardware store for stainless screws and bolts....I'll save you guys the time I wasted driving all around. Srews that hold on firesteel and flashlight is 4mm X 6mm.
6. Afternoon on sewing machine and hammered on a snap
7. Wrapped sheath in about 6' od green 550 paracord

Thanks to all the guys I borrowed these ideas from. Pictures attached.

That looks cool..how much did it cost you for all the gas and labor? Lol looks awesome though.

Cool. I think that's the first time I've seen a mini-mag attached to the sheath like that. Great idea!

Put a tight stitch line near the maglite and the firesteel, amazing retention. I think this sheath is alot better then it gets credit for (with a little modifications) Thanks everybody for all the feedback.

Looks great! I just did something similar to mine but I am not 100% satisfied with it yet. I made it a dangler from an old belt and put a digital camera pouch on it. the pouch is sweet, three separate pockets and its water resistant.

The factory sheath with rivets drill out is a great platform. I was thinking if making a 2nd drop leg style belt loop that can be switched out depending on the outing. Can anybody give me some insight (personal experience) on the esee pouch? worth it or overkill on this sheath?

Readyme.....go get yourself some 2" webbing. I've been using my daughters sewing machine and pulling all my ideas from all the guys here. I'm going to order me a few buckles in od green and try to make one also.
