Update Nighthawk to Edge 2000?

I have my older (1995) Nighthawk good and sharp, will shave arm hair with ease. Would it be worth my while to send it back to Buck to be reground to Edge 2000 specs? I plan to keep this one forever. Thanks for the advice! James

I, also, have an older Nighthawk that when I bought it had an edge like a club. I sent it back to Buck
for the Edge 2000 treatment. When I got it back it was sharp ! Yipes!!! However, if you have your edge
thinned to where it will shave hair I'm not sure that Edge 2000 will make a meaningful imporvment.
Besides, you have your edge your way and sooner or later all knives wind up that way. Enjoy.
