Update on CS Spartan with a lock which wouldn't disengage

Well, I took the advice given here and took it apart, which then was fine for locking, and closing again. Not sure what it was causing the original problem where the blade would not close once open.

I also used a combo of fine grit paper, a dremel, and hand applied Flitz to take original non reflective blade and end with a polished shine, which I like. Not perfect yet but like the results.

Here is a pic fresh from the trail I was on.

THanks to All.

Well done - I might have to do that to mine.

The lock on mine sticks occasionally as well, but it hasn't been taken apart and thoroughly cleaned in a while. That'll probably solve the problem once I do it.

try gun-scrubber then ballistol..good polish. I dont have the fasteners to take my CS folders apart!! (yet), as in nuts

Thanks Chris.

You're welcome. A member here (who unfortunately got himself banned a while back) had the idea of starting a thread on Spartan mods. Maybe I'll start one after I finish mine.

Do you mean fasteners, or Torx drivers? A 1/4 hex driver and bit set should have what would fit the screws. I have two smaller bit drivers, so one fits each side.
