Update on Give Love project

I got off the phone earlier today with the woman in charge of this project. I informed her of what was going on. She contacted the principle of the school to get the information of the child that needed a water heater. Turns out the phone has been disconected, so the principle will send a letter home with the child.

Thanks to all you Buckaroos that made this possible. I have had so much help with this from other members here that I am thinking about doing something with portable heaters. I did some checking at Lowes for a water heater and it looks like I have enough funds to purchess a 40 gallon water heater and still have a little left over from the sells. I am still going through my knives to find a few more to sell. I am sure there are some families without heat this winter, so that is the next priority. If there are several families in need of heat, I am thinking portable heaters verses helping just one family with a whole new unit. What do you guys think?

While I think it's a good idea, they seem to be the source of a lot of house fires here during the winter, and it seems like it always involves those in need, but then I guess that is why they are using portable heaters rather than the real thing.
