Well Jessica isn't well by any means but she is home and has been since last tuesday. My daughter has just been extremely busy is why we haven't made contact. Jessica's blood count is stil really low, but it's being worked on. Dinner time becomes a real chore because of what she can and can't eat. Jessica is allergic to dairy among other things, not surprising with her ndn blood, not from me but her bio grandpa who walked West long ago.
The Drs have her on 40 mgs of Prednisone a day!!!! That's not a lot all in all, but is a great deal for a child of 12 years.
I think I told y'all that Jessica received 4 units of blood total during her stay. All the offers to donate were much appreciated, but I guess not needed, thankfully!!!!
Jessica is eating well. One does that on high doses of steroids anyway so you have to be really careful of what you eat to keep the weight down. Jessica's gonna be on a low fat diet from now on. I worked with a girl who had Crohn's and she kept her weight down nicely and was on a restricted diet as to what she could eat.

Thanks again gang!!!!

Good news. Prayers ongoing.

Kis you did good, the pronounciation is perfect, as long as the "n" is more nasal than pronounced and barely heard.:D

Please keep us posted if we can help. You and yours are important, brother (if I may take that liberty).

Great news.:)

While tough to go through, I think things such as this can produce a very strong person if they happen before they are old enough to become cynical or self-pitying.

I can be both, but I hope that my persistant immaturity and irresponsibility might be an advantage it I ever had to endure something like that.:)

Good to hear Jessica is home and eating. Most people are lactose intolerant to some degree.

Yvsa, I'm so glad to hear this news. You and your family will continue to be in my thoughts.
