I always wanted a granite surface plate, but i just couldn't see paying more for shipping than for the granite. Last week Idahohiker posted that he received one from Grizzly, and paid 5.95 shipping. Well i called them on tue. and ordered a 9x12x3" 2 ledge and received it today (fri.) all for 25.90, thanks Idahohiker! also, if anyone is interested, on the bottom on one of the ledges, there was a chip about 1/2" long, it wouldn't effect anything, but it bothered me, I didn't want to sent it back, so i went in my backyard and found a similar colored rock and pulverized it and mixed it with 2 ton, and now its like new. We all have our little quirks. Tom
