Update on ionbond/bodycote private orders

Good News - I recieved the following in an email from Ionbond/bodycote today, re: my request about private orders to coat my knives with "Diamond Black Coating"

"received your inquiry regarding the coating of some knives with our "Diamond Black Coating". The current coating that we are applying to knives and components is Tungsten Carbide.

The coating will mimic the surface finish of the substrate. We do offer an Aluminum Oxide Blast grit #220 for a matte charcoal gray finish. We also offer a Ceramic Blast, as well.

Pricing is $1.50 per inch and we do have a $200.00 minimum order charge. "

well, thats great if ya want $200 worth done,

a few yrs ago they were pretty cool, did small orders, etc, i used to have darrels cell phone #, no more, i guess i cant blame 'em.

I takes me 3-5 monts to get enough to send them.
Its a pita.
