I really don't think new laws will stop the sale of ivory handled knives. Will merely create a black market and drive up prices. Unintended consequences of overreaching government runs deep.

Ray Mears recently helped burn a pile of Ivory. I messaged him asking how it benefits because he basically just made the elephant die for no reason. He then replied saying something like "What else am I supposed to do?"
