Update on My Daughter

Hey all, thanks again for your support from the other thread. I was able to find a computer here at the hospital and thought I would leave another update.

Mack is doing well, they are probably going to take her of the ventilator today. They have been weening her all week and now the Doctor needs to make the decision of when they feel comfortable about taking out the breathing tube.

X-rays look good and the pneumonia is about gone, she will still have to fight the RSV for a bit, but not a hugh deal.

Anyway, I better get back to her room. Thanks again and I will check back in a few days with more info.

Hey all, thanks again for the thoughts and prayers.

She is being extibated right now, so hopefully she will continue to improve with the breathing tube out. I am ready for this two week ordeal to be over and I know Mackenzie is ready too.

It will be nice to get her home and get out of Detroit. But they have some great Doctors here at the Childrens Hospital, even though we are in the heart of the "hood"

Anyway, thanks again, and I will update again ASAP. But I truely feel that she has finally "turned the corner" and if it is like it was in 2000, she will be eating pizza by tomorrow.
