Just wanted to update everyone. My nephew was sent home from the hospital last night. Everything seems to be under control now. They are attributing the problems to a combination of RSV and low blood pressure. After countless test, heart echoes, etc. they have concluded that there is no major problems that will need to be addressed with surgery at this time. They will have him on some breathing treatments for awhile and will continue to monitor him over the next few months but for right now everything seems to be OK.

It has really been a scary few days here and I apologize if I have not been around as much as I should have been. I can't express in words how wonderful my Busse friends and family have been in this stressful time. It seems like in today's world there are so many people who only look out for themselves. To be able to come here and read all of your encouraging words and well wishes has really been a blessing to me. This really is an amazing community of people that will go out of their way to help out a friend. Many of you I have never had the pleasure to meet in person but believe me I am looking forward to the time that I can shake each and everyone of your hands. From the bottom of my heart, to all who expressed concern, sent emails, sent pms, sent prayers and thoughts, THANK YOU. It has meant more than I can say.

When I get a chance to meet all of you the first round will be on me.

Awesome news! It's always harder when it's the little ones. I was a very sick newborn and they didn't think I would make it out of the hospital... For some reason, if the person is older, you can at least say, "eh, I know they've done something". But the little ones are 100% innocent...

He'll surprise you. Like I said, I was premature, had breathing problems and all sorts of stuff, but after the first couple of weeks I got better, then, growing up I was always bigger, stronger and healthier than my siblings who had uncomplicated, healthy births. Sometimes there is some truth to what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

 to him being too young to remember any pain/discomfort or how worried it made his family and the people who care about him. Thank god for small favors, right?

Wonderful, and I mean wonderful news!:)

Now get some rest and enjoy your weekend

Great news Buddy.
Give him a Bear Hug from Dave Brown when you see him.

That's fantastic news Garth! Let's hope it's the last the little guy will have of those struggles.
