Per my post the other day, I was looking for a pouch for in pocket carry for my folders, a Lochsa and an Small Obenauf Model 2. I ordered three different styles and then picked up some leather at my local craft store (AC Moore) and fashioned a couple myself.

I got two different pouches from William Henry. The Clip case and Slip case. The Clip case has a clip (hence the name...) while the slip case is simply a pouch. I got the largest size WH carries, both of which were designed for the T12 size folders (~4.5" folder closed). The Lochsa & Obie were a very tight fit in both pouches but after working them in and out, the leather stretched and now the fit a little better. They were priced at approx $12 & $6 respectively plus about $4 shipping.

I also ordered a calfskin pouch from Chris Reeve knives designed for the lg Sebenza. This one was considerably larger than the WH pouches and fit both knives well. Incidentally, the quality on all the pouches was very good. The CRK was $15 + $2 for shipping.

Lastly, my homemade version. I used black leather that was kind of suede-ish on one side and smooth/shiny on the other. Initially, the rough side was inside the pouch, but I found that the leather shedded, leaving small particles of leather all over the knife and in the pivot. Given that one purpose of these pouches was to keep pocket lint out of the pivot, this wasn't a great idea. Therefore, I simply made another with the smooth side in. This also facilitated removing the knife from the pouch. I used an adhesive rather than sewing. Perhaps I'll try sewing one as it would look a nicer.

So in the end, they all work well. I think the WH pouches, while tight, may end up being carried more as it's a slimmer profile in the pocket. I'll try them all to see, but just thought I'd share some pics and my experiences in case anyone else was looking for something similar.

The CRK is the top (w/the Obenauf). The two WH pouches in the middle (clip case on left w/Lochsa) and my homemade pouch on the bottom.

PB,
I like your Lochsa, I suppose I'm a little biased being that I'm Scotts brother. I currently have my "#2" Lochsa (Dad got #1) in a pouch that doubles as a cash/credit cardholder and it works great!! I believe I picked it up for $15.00 from KnifeArt at the Blade show a year or so ago, it's made out of calf skin I believe.
