Update on stress reduction techniques

Here are a few techniques that I have found helpful in coping with situations that cause stress.

Acronym--PACES
1-P-Patience- If you cannot apply any of the following techniques then just relax and wait until time and conditions change so that you can cope. This is the perfect time to continue to be proactive and use prayer and other spiritual methods to help find a resolution.

2-A-Attack- Sometimes it is very appropriate to respond with an energetic counter, especially if there is the stress of imminent physical danger to you or your loved ones. A Ganga Ram kukri or a .44 magnum might be just the answer to that mountain lion that suddenly appears running along behind-- your bike. When the stress is being caused by other humans and you have the luxury of choice then a, take no prisoners attorney, is a valuable asset.

3-C-Compromise- Negotiation,reason,mediation,discussion, plus many other options are often excellent as a first choice if the situation permits.

4-E-Escape- Never underestimate the valuable choice of completely removing oneself from the stressor. Even moving to another country and changing names, can work wonders.

5-S-Suicide- A last choice option certainly, but not to be totally discounted. When quality of life degrades to the point where physical nonexistance is preferable, then this may be your last great defiant gesture. Sort of like the little mouse extending it's middle finger to the approaching eagle. :mad:
