Update on the new obsession

In my first post, I lamented on the fact that I was being drawn into the vortex I now refer to as my “Hog addiction”. Now I am standing ankle deep in quagmire and wondering what happened to my discretionary income.

I have had a few weekends to take my new Busses in to the field to see how they stack up to their reputation. So far so good. My only “less than enthusiastic” comment would be about the “sharpness” of the blades I have received so far. I realize that “sharpness” is a subjective term. My person definition for sharpness borders on obsessive, so take this with a grain of salt. Of the four Busses I now own, none were as sharp as I might have hoped. Not a big issue. The IFNI sharpened very well. I was actually impressed with how sharp you could get these predominately thick blades. I have bald spots on my left arm and leg to prove it.

Could not be happier with my new knives. Here are some pictures of my Busses. Believe me when I say that my photography skills do NOT do these knifes justice.

Some great blades you have there. I have learned to accept the sharpness issue on Busse knives, I tend to put my edge on all my knives anyway. They do come sharp enough just not to the level us knife junkies have grown to appreciate.
 
I have had some real lasers. Some, not so much. My most recent direct orders were Cabs a deal muckle, both were super sharp.
 
It looks as though you're feeding your addiction quite well. :thumbup: You have some very beautiful pieces of INFI there, congrats on your scores so far!

the first 1911 i ever shot had been a les baer- i always wanted a wilson and a nighthawk custom but they are almost impossible to buy here - and with our gun-laws you cant have as many firearms as you like... on the other hand - i would possibly be constantly broke if i could :)
