Right now there are bills to ban the sale of ivory in the states of Oklahoma, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Indiana, Washington state, Maryland and soon Oregon as well as the federal bill.

Oklahoma Reps we have visited with say they will not support the bill. They do not think it will ever get out of committees. the person who introduced said he was approached by a person from the zoo.

The Rep also said the same bill was being introduced in 17 states. All based on the New Jersey law.
