I'm doing my best to play catch-up on orders so I can start taking new orders again.

I really don't like having a backlog...drives me crazy. I would much rather be able to take an order and deliver it a week or so later.

Well, that's where I'm headed in the "next phase" of Koster Knives (due out the beginning of 2009). ;)

In the meantime, I am trying to clear out some orders as quickly as I can.

If you have an order, take a minute and check the Order Tracker to see if there are any questions from me...to check that your payments are posted...and to make sure the details are posted correctly.

If you are thinking about placing an order with me, the best bet is to sign up for my Mailing List (see the link in my sig line)...and wait to check for updates.

Here's what I'm working on this week.

Bushcrafts in CPM 3V - I glued up 5 on Friday and will be doing another 5 as soon as I get more corby bolts later this week. These are all orders.

Nessmuks in 1/8" CPM 3V - I glued up 4 on Friday and have another 4 set out ready to glue up. Half are orders, the others are extras - one of which is pretty nice.

Survivors - I'm waiting for corby bolts - out of my hands. I was also waiting for more micarta to show up...just got here today. :D So, I'll be finishing cutting up the handles for the first 15.

BushMasters - Got steel on order to have more blanks cut out....but it isn't available until the end of October. As soon as it shows up from the WaterJet, the blanks will be off to the CNC outfit to get completed.

There's more...lots more...but that'll do for now...I'll update this thread as I lay more stuff out to work on.

Hope everybody is having a good week!

Hi Dan - if one of these Buscrafts goes unclaimed, please let me know. I have been hoping to get my mitts on one of these.

Also (and especially if none of the Buschcrafts are left), might you still be able to make up one of these 1/8" 3V Nessmuks for me w/ a high flat grind (like on the Desert Ironwood one shown here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=593104 ) but full polish rather than as-forged finish, thick well-figured African Blackwood or Arizona Ironwood handles, 3/8" brass corby bolts + 3/8" lanyard tube + sheath (brown, plain). Frankly, if you can find another piece of Ironwood like that, I'd be thrilled (adding red liners might even make thinner scales work out ok).

I do have availability on the 3V nessmuks...but not on the bushcrafts...not yet, anyway. There will undoubtedly be extras....and I'm going to clear every order out that I have steel for first, before I start working on extras....but when these are done, I'm going to start the Official 2nd Production Run of the Bushcraft and that'll be the "new way" of getting them.

Like I said....changes are coming down the pipeline!

Will be great for you guys......better knives....faster turn-around...clearer ordering process...and best of all, lower prices!
