Hi,

So I made this thread http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-sub-par-fit-and-finish-and-then-there-s-this last month. It got a lot of views and a number of PMs asking for updates and what happened so I decided to make a small update thread.

Emerson offered to make good on the problem so I sent in my knife. They offered to switch on any model they had in stock as well. I decided to take that offer since I was curious about the Horseman. They also sharpened my Mini 15 for free since I included it in the package for sharpening. EKI also included the Ultimate Edge sharpener in my return parcel as a way of compensating me for my trouble, I guess. Communication was excellent, even through out the 4th of July weekend. I finally got my package today and I am very pleased with how this turned out in the end.

Good to hear. Makes me feel good that if I ever run into troubles with my Emersons, they will be there to make it better. Thanks for the update!
 
No matter what problems you may encounter with one of their knives, Emerson really is the best around as far as customer service goes. I've heard more stories about them "making it right" than most any other knife maker out there. I think it is a side effect of being a small, family run business... They just "get" it. Glad they took such good care of you.
 
I'm usually not a "told ya so" kind of person, but in this instance.... told ya so. :)

J/K.... Anyways, glad that EKI got you taken care.
