After searching the newest info found was nearly a decade old so new info and opinions would be great. I recently inherited a NICA 400 large tanto from Feb24 2000 with BG42 steel. It appears to be unused with the paperwork/birth card but no box. I know very little about this blade steel or these special editions of CRK knives. Could someone enlighten me on the quality of material, rarity, collectability, and anything else I need to know to determine if I should keep it or trade/sell it. Thanks ahead of time for any helpful info

From what I've read, the first run was in BG42 and 400 were made. The second run was in S30V and 200 were made. I've got one of the later ones. The BG42 steel is sought after more than any other steel by CRK.
A CRK is a well made knife with quality materials. So, yeah, it's a very good knife. Keeping it, selling/trading it, is entirely up to you. ACK had a small for sale not too long ago, you can reference the value from that. I jumped on one because I like a tanto blade and mine is left handed. It all really depends on how much someone is willing to pay for a collectable piece and how much you're willing to let it go for. If, you want to sell it that is.
