Hey all, here is a little WIP thread on a knife I'm getting close to finishing up for a forum member. It's my EDC model in ATS-34, RC 59 done by Peters, green canvas with orange G-10 liners, stainless tubes, and a hand rubbed satin finish.

Feedback is welcome, thanks for lookin'!

Blade ground and handle slabs roughed out getting things lined up:

Should have it wrapped up tonight or tomorrow, I'll post more of the finished blade. Thanks!

Dear sweet lord..... You are too fricking good to have a completed blade count as low as you do. The satin is perfect, the handles look amazing the design is tight, the grinds are nice and crisp. Bravo, Jon...bravo. I can honestly say that you made my week.

Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate the feedback.

Dustin, this will be in your hands very soon:D

Johnny, that looks really nice. That's pretty much the same way I shape my handles, btw. A very nice looking knife there.

Is that final edge a hollow edge? Paper wheels?

very impressive. I'm constantly amazed at your progress.

Wow, that is very nice of you to say. I know I've got lots of work to do on my finishing skills but I try to improve a little bit each time. Thank you!!

Nathan,
Thanks man! I grind my final edge with a 220 Norzon blue belt and then hit it with a 320 SC belt and a 400 SC belt before taking off the last burr and polishing with a slotted paper wheel. Good eye you've got there!:D

I think johnymac44 is a liar. I think this is his 1000th knife. Good Job man this is truly something you are good at. I am looking forward to seeing what your knives look like in a year.

Thanks Kaleb!

Here are the last few pics before this one ships out. Kydex is done. Set up for small Tek Lok and inverted paracord carry per the buyer's request.

Did you do some apprenticing or are you just a natural? That's a great looking knife.

Seriously impressed. I remember not so long ago you were posting pics of your first grinds and getting ready to send them out for HT. I was at about the same point, but decided to go with non stainless and a home made propane HT setup. You've definitely progressed a lot faster on your grinding than I did. I think it's a matter of how prolific you are. The enthusiasm and dedication you have for the work really shows.
