Wildmanh...there are no marks on the shoulder....and yes this Khukri has been well used and is well made...my favourite (big) knife by far...thanks for the reply....FESThats a cool Khukri! I don't see any markings near the bolster. Are there any around the shoulder (Curved part of the spine)?? If so, can we get a close up of those? Can't tell you who made it right now or what model, but it looks well made to me. I'm sure that someone with more knowledge will be along in the next day or so that can shed some light on this Khukri. I just saw your other thread and agree with Karda, looks like something from Khukri house. Good Blade either way!Looks like it's seen some honest work, which I like to see!
JayGoliath..???? the only bit of that ,that i understood was the chape...yea ive got the original chape (somewhere?)...i have a custom sheath for the Khukri and dont use the original in the bush....What is BAS with Vojpuri/Bhojpure belly???...forgive my ignorance......FESIt looks like a BAS with Vojpuri/Bhojpure belly, Sirupati-like Shiva's sword, non-habaki bolster and proportion of cho with edge are all good.
You might want to add on a chape.

Thank you Karda...very interesting information...so can i assume that (Nepal Army Issue Khukuri)is a marketing ploy ??...or did they actually use khukuri of these dimensions, made by KH?....as i have previously stated,it is a very well made and fuctional tool........with thankd....FESBAS=British Army Service.
Vojpuri/Bhojpure belly mean your blade has influences from those style khukuri. Differnt khukuri can have different names according to what locality in nepal or india the style originated.
To me your khukuri looks like what KH used to sell as their Nepal Army "issue" khukuri. Nowadays their issue khukuri look more like H.I.'s BAS.

Karda..I agree on all points especially (on what really matters)...In the first series of pics i sent ,the khukuri below the one im querying, was given to me by a family member who served alongside the Ghurkas in East Timor approximately 10 years ago..this khukuri was given to him by the commanding officer there (for services rendered)...that khukuri ,although thicker in the spine is poor in fit and finish and general useability in my opinion...a large step backwards it would seem....thank you again and merry xmas...FESIt is somewhat of a marketing ploy, there are several shops that have supplied the Gurkhas with khukuri at one time or another and all still advertise this fact. One must remember that it is a Gov't contract and whomever can supply an adequate product according to gov't specs, at the cheapest price, is the one who gets that contract. Sometimes they are well built but not much to look at, They pay a bit more attention to finish for the parade dress khukuri. Yours works well and suits you, in the end that is all that really matters.
