I was working on a new version of the companion knife for my WSK set. The goal was a good functional knife that works well on its own but matches the WSK and looks like it is part of the set. Here are three layouts for my companion knife. One is my current knife the other two are variations. Please give me some input on what you guys like and would think would work best.

I like #2. However, since you're making it, you'll be able to get a better fit on multiple finger grooves if you choose to go that route. You'll really be able to customize them to fit your hand.

Yeah, but...as soon as you want to shift your grip a little, the knife no longer feels right in your hand.

You already have me down for a #2, right buddy?...:D
And, since you're at it, make it out of that new Friction Forged D2, O.K.?

i like the looks of #2...i think we have a fan favorite here...

i think that i would also add some thumb grooves on the spine, but obviously they are not neccessary...just a nice little thing that i like on smaller knives

Moose,
I like #3 best.

Here is my version of the Scout/Companion knife that Jim Moyer made for me:

What i will most likely do is offer all three. I think Varient two looks the most like the wsk as far as the handle. But the third sketch (my standard companion thus far) feels great in the hand. One of my close friends said the knife "makes his hand happy."
