Lotsa dust in the shop today.

Good news is - I got to test out my new full face respirator.

Looks like this:

And it works GREAT!

No order penetration at all - and it stays put with a secure fit...and is airtight - even with a beard.

My lungs will thank me later. :D

I've been using cheaper masks - but this one takes the cake.

Anyway, here are some pics of works in progress. Enjoy!

Got your email, Abaniko - reply sent.

Dan, what are the details on your respirator? What model, what cartriges did you get, etc. I'm trying to do it right the first time on equipment!

Thanks, sorry for the semi-hijack!

It is the 3M 6000 series - mine is the 6900 (size=large......read: fat head) :D

I paired it with the "combo" filters - both dust and chemical protection down to 1 micron...rated for formaldehyde (micarta) as well as fine particles like in ironwood, cocobolo, etc. that can come back to haunt you later. ;)

All I can say is it is AMAZING !!!

Dan, Are those WSS neckers wearing carbon fiber? Is there any chance of still getting one of those in natural canvas to match my survivor?

They are all in silver twill G10 and are S30V with a high hollow grind. Gonna be pricey! Liners too...

I do plan on doing a budget run of these later this year.
