UPF Shirts?

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good quality UPF rated shirts? Long sleeve, over 30 UPF, button down, lightweight, that don't glow in the dark(no garrish or loud colors) and venting options are a plus. Ideally I would like to keep it under the 50 dollar mark, but for good quality I'd put my ceiling at 75ish.
So, any suggestions are welcome. Of all the outdoor gear, clothing seems to be the one thing I'm pretty clueless on  There aren't really any chains here like REI, Cabela's, etc. to go and check things out and ask questions about. Which relegates most of my outdoor clothing purchases to online buys.

Thanks in advance

If you're going online, REI has some decent stuff of thier own manufacture that is both fairly stylish, UPF and in earth tones. I have a few shirts from them I like. Try to catch one of their "Sales" for a good deal. If you're in the immediate market, you'll probably pay more. Best of luck.

I've never heard of Orvis, I'll have to give them a look. As for REI online, yeah, it looks like I'll have to just keep checking back for sales and sizes. Anything under 80 bucks was out of stock in my sizes. Are there any specific brands that you guys think I should take a look at? Any particularly more durable than others? I keep seeing nylon mentioned and here in the desert that just screams to me "I'm going to snag on a cholla and be stripped naked".

I have two Columbia shirts that were $25/ea at Campmor. They're just like you described.

got an Eddie Bauer close? they show up on the clearance rack for a reasonable price pretty often.

Orvis sells great clothing, but they are one of the most expensive. I believe they are in Vermont.

I have a bunch of the Columbia ones. They are pretty good, but they don't hold their 'good looking style' very long after a few washes. Just things like the pocket flaps and collar starts to curl up and such. The look good new and they still work great when they are looking raggedy. But they do turn towards the raggedy quickly.

The best shirts of that type I have are from North Face, I got them on clearance at REI and they are great. Then again, just about any full sleeve shirt will give you UPF protection of 30. The only difference is the UPF shirts tend to be ultra-light and designed for hotter weather.

Thanks for all the suggestions folks. Took a look at Orvis, and yeah, they do seem to be a bit pricey compared to others. Checking at Campmor as suggested though brought up two or three different shirts that look to be exactly as I described for 30 dollars or less. Leaning towards the ExOfficio Air Strip shirt for the adjustable venting, but still not sure how durable the fabric will be.
Anyone have experience with them?
