Upgrade from Gold to KnifeMaker Prorate

Hello,

I purchased the wrong subscription. I'd like to upgrade from Gold to KnifeMaker. Can you let me know what other steps I need to complete. Thanks.
 
I read that first before buying the knifemaker. No problem with the bumps. Would you mind checking my new sales thread to make sure I'm in the right section and haven't crossed any lines?

Congrats willydigger. I really like your skulls thread, very fun to see how you progressed. I'd love to see a WIP thread showing the piece of wood, and the knives you used. It would make for a fun thread.

Ok and now you've charged back the paypal transaction. WTF. I even gave you an extra month on your knifemaker prorated subscription. No good deed.

I want to clear up some things and give a little background so everything is clear.

I started a thread in the gear section showing off some beads. Not selling, just showing the work and progress.

A mod mentioned that I should get a membership to sell.

I thought the Gold membership was sufficient so I purchased it. I posted that I purchased the Gold and mod mentioned that I required a KnifeMaker membership. So I purchased the KnifeMaker membership upgrade. It seems reasonable to me that the fair thing to do is accept the KnifeMaker membership and refund the Gold membership.

I think that is fair. The PayPal dispute was a result of not being able to reply to this thread because at the time the thread was closed (it has since been reopened). I didn't know what else to do. If you feel that the Gold refund is not acceptable please help me understand.

I don't know the procedure for upgrades, but I think if you purchase a membership in error you should be able to make a correction.

Sorry for the hassle and confusion. :(
 
You should have inquired before taking any action. Spark has an email address and PM available, you could have asked the mods via PM or email, we do reply quickly and try to help clear up confusing situations. We could have even gotten ahold of Spark on your behalf. He tried to give you a bit extra and he got the shaft.

I don't know what to do at this point. I want the KnifeMaker membership for $60. I would like my $25 back for the Gold purchased in error. Had the thread not have been closed I would have responded here instead.

I don't want any trouble. What is wrong with asking for the Gold membership back? Can't he refund the money without issue?

Spark is not responsible for your purchasing the wrong membership before you had taken the time to read and understand things around here.
You posted a thread asking for the gold to be prorated onto your knifemaker membership. You obviously read and understood that part of the rules. The owner did as you wished and even added a little and then you did a chargeback on him which not only gets you your money back but cost him extra fees. Not cool.
 
Reading Spark's post he seems to have extended or prorated your KnifeMaker membership.Instead of a year it should now be 18 months including the extra month he gave you.
 
I misunderstood the prorate. I was under the assumption I would be getting a prorated refund for the Gold. I also assumed he could refund the money without issue. I don't need/want extra time on the my KnifeMaker membership.

I was unaware of the fees, but I felt cornered when this thread was closed without being able to figure things out. At this point I have filed a dispute. The way I read this, the money is on hold until the two of use work this out. There has been no claim filed. I'd like to work this out.

Can I have my money back for the Gold and move on? Please refund me the $25 less any fees and it will be a lesson learned. In the future I'll be sure to contact a mod prior to any membership purchases.

You disputed the transaction. There isn't anything else for me to do.
 
I resolved the dispute through PayPal. I haven't heard back from my email, but you seen like a reasonable guy. Hopefully everything can work out. Again sorry the the hassle. :D
