I just upgraded my subscription. I didn't want to be a basic member, I wanted to go with gold. Can I pay the difference?

No, you will have to pay the full price for the gold membership. But, when you do upgrade to gold the remainder of your basic membership will be converted into its equivalent gold membership's value, so you'll get a bit less than $40 worth of gold membership when you do upgrade (about 3 months extra length to your gold).
 
great at least its something!
now that london is banning knives i might rethink my strategy to ever sell any of them as they just went up in value :D
 
Ok great. I didn't realize I also asked the same question a month ago. when I searched for the answer the first thread I came up with was the other posters same question that was not answered in the link I sent. Upping my membership right now. Thx for your time again.
