Upgrade to gold problems

At the begiining of the week I upgraded to Gold through PayPal. Haven't been able to see the upgrade or change anything in permission groups. Getting this message

1. Go to settings
2. Click on Permission groups
3. Click "Identify me as a member of this group"

Ok, guess I'm reaaly dumb but I can't find permission groups under settings, only when I click on my user name. And then it doesn't allow me me to do anything.

With PayPal sometimes be membership has to be manually upgraded by the sites owner. This can take a few days.
