I was told that could prorate my Gold membership purchase (currently on Basic). Let me now what steps I need to take.

I'm not Spark...but I think you have to buy your gold membership, then flag spark requesting the prorate (the time remaining on your basic membership will be prorated into your Gold)

Ok, but since you bought your basic back in Jan and it's now 5 months later, you get basically 6 extra weeks on your gold.

no big deal, if it is a hassle don’t worry about it. I didn’t realize it was that negligible.
