I am starting to taking a liking to my new KME SYSTEM. However, the tiny thumb screws that come with it are horrible. Especially the one they expect you to hold on the stone mount handle. I purchased some nice Phenolic tapered knobs which make a world of difference.
A "modify-ist" after my own heart! Keep thinking like that, and soon you will be able to build your own sharpener.
