Man those look great, I'd give the guy who did that a free DPX HEST!
EDIT: I *might* be the guy who did that

also, pivots and washers were high polished with a super fine polish (Flitz) along with the load bearing surfaces. All the work made for super smooth actions. On the Spyderco I actually had to remove the small washer on the pivot screw. The washer was barely bigger than the screw itself, but it hindered the flush seating of the screw on the scales for some reason (which is impossible to see in my crappy pictures, but I'm sure AusLoX will post better ones

). The minigrip has a split arrow clip made for it that has a stone wash finish custom done by me as well (3min dip in PCB etching fluid then XXXX steel wool + elbow grease), but we were waiting for the noncoated regular clips to arrive since the split arrow likes to catch and snag on things. Which will look best? Time will tell, but I'm sure more pics to follow. Fit and finish on these scales was excellent. Some screw holes looked offset at first, but once tightened up, everything fit well. I could nitpick and find some VERY MINOR fitting issues, but again that's if we're splitting hairs here. The scales on the minigrip completely changed the knife to an almost different model. What use to be a small knife I could barely hold suddenly became a beautiful piece that also fit my hand well (due to technical issues in the front choil I won't bother to get into here). The full size grip also became another magnificent piece. It didn't change up the feel too much, but the added jimping in the G10 backspacer was certainly noticeable. The visual upgrade, however, was undeniable. The Delica was another amazing transformation. First impression was it actually became lighter! I haven't weighed the knife to confirm, but side by side to another Delica, it sure seemed true. The grip on this scale style was phenomenal, and the visual upgrade was just as fantastic. Truly, the Super Blue Delica deserves much nicer scales and the multiple colors added to the beauty that the blade and it's gorgeous hamon deserved. All in all, I'd say the scales were well worth the money - but for certain the biggest impact was made on the minigrip. It went from a knife I wouldn't carry, to one I almost envy. I'd love to get my hands on the maker's custom titanium works to see them up close as well. Anyways, that's my 2 cents as a knife lover lol. Glad I could help my buddy put these on his knives properly and see how great they are firsthand.
