Hi Everyone,

During the Blade show this year I took an order for one of my Riverfront Bowies. The customer asked that I dress it up a bit with some damascus and stag. Here is what we worked together and came up with. The blade is 13 1/8" of forged Loki's Ladder damascus. The fittings are also Loki's Ladder but I added an additional stacking sequence and then gave it a gentle twist, they are very finely grained. The pattern really shows on the face of the guard. I may at some point do a blade with this pattern. The handle is stag. The overall length on this one is 18". The spine is just a shade under 1/4" at the guard and has a very nice distal taper all the way to the point. the blade handles very well and the grip has just enough drop that you can control the point very well.

Craig,

You best check in with me before my next order comes up. Every knife you post, I find myself saying "No, I want THAT one instead!" Thanks for making my life difficult. :p

Great knife. That goes straight into the BIG honkin' bowie file. Well done.

Roger

That is an incredible knife!!! WOW!! Gorgeous!! That Damascus is amazing!

Rock On!!!

I love it when people come in with bigger blades. I think the ABS 10" blade rule subconsciously affects some makers so that we get a homogenization of "big" bowies with 9.5-10" blades.

Great to see something a bit outside the box,

John

Wow, what a beautiful knife. I'll bet the owner is dancing a jig on the kitchen table while he waits for it to show up.

Oh my .. large awesome Riverfront Bowie .. I wish I'm the customer ..
Craig .. is it a clay hardened .. I think it's a temper line on the blade .. am I seeing it correctly?

Thanks everyone.
I will check with you before I start yours Roger. :)
I don't know if the new owner will use it or not but it is built to be used.
There is a hardning line on this one.

Wow, love the faux hamon pattern, stag, overall lines. That's sure one to be proud of...
