Upgraded to Basic and then Gold. What happens to the extra 10 dollars?

Hello Mods. I upgraded to the Basic Membership today - realized I hated how the messages worked - and then upgraded to gold.

The 10 dollars of the basic membership - does that get added to the length of my membership - or what happens to that.

Have tagged Spark so he can prorate your membership. Since Basic is 1/3 the cost of Gold, and you bought them on the same day, your Gold should get extended by 4 months.
