Upgrading the Rock Salt sheath

I received my Aqua Salt and put the mini-g clip from it on the Rock Salt sheath as a second clip, and it feels considerably more secure than before. It wasn't too bad before, but I like this better.

Not quite as fast to put on and take off now, but I was already using a belt and threading it through the clip, now it just has one more to go through.

The two holes are already there, so no permanent changes were made.

Time to order a new clip for the Aqua Salt, and to take a heat gun to the sheath to stop that rattle. :D

Master Exploder, that is a most excellent idea, I never would have thought of that.

It'd be great to know how the 'rattle removal' goes, I have the same problem with my Rock Salt sheath.

Thanks! I gotta give the credit to my brother...... :-)

I will try the heat gun soon and let you know.

Guess I need to call Spyderco soon for a new mini-g clip. Not a huge hurry as I am probably going to send the Aqua Salt to Mr. Krein for a regrind.

What kind of regrind on the Aqua Salt? I'm thinking I'd like to try a convex grind, myself, just haven't gotten 'round to it.

I asked him to use his own judgement, mainly taking the angle down a little.

I have seen what he has done to a Pacific Salt and would like something similar done to the top swedge.

The Aqua Salt is going out today. When I get it back I will post pics of it.
