Wow these guys are ridiculous. So my wife ordered a bassinet from amazon, shipped, tracked to out here in WA state then it just stops. Call and they say "oh well it must have gotten lost" and then " you need to contact the shipper to figure it out". Wow ok so a box that is like 3'x4'x8" just vanishes. She tries it again, got a refund and the second one shipped. I am not kidding but the same thing happened. Finally she just says forget it and we go to walmart.

Now a week later I order some bars of steel from Aldo, the tracked item shows up in WA then there arent any updates for 3 days so I call them to see whats going on. Sure enough same thing. Now I gotta call Aldo and get him to try and straighten it out since UPS wont do anything except tell you to call the shipper. How do you loose a tube thats probably about 5" diameter by 4.5' long that weighs as much as 6 or so bars of steel. Not Aldo's fault or anything, I guess I am just venting about UPS.

You guys had issues with them at all, any success or is it just a give up on them type thing.

What do you expect living on the wrong side of the sound, they probably just dumped them into the water:D. Seems wierd that multiple shipments have done the same thing. Hopefully they get this figured out! Steven

Haha yeah they made it to redmond and that was it. Probably want me to pay a toll to come and pick them up.

Stacy I would not doubt it.

USPS is the only way to go for shipping up here to Canada. The Men in Brown will work you over charging $40 - $50 brokerage fee on top of the duties and taxes.

I had a problem with Amazon recently too. First, their software refused to ship the item to me. Then the order was placed with the help of customer service. The software would only accept a street address - ok, I'm paying for standard shipping so street address is ok. BUT - Amazon now ships "standard shipping" as FedEx SmartPost. Which means you package is going to end up at the post office. If you're like me, the post office only knows my P.O. Box. So the item gets returned.

Something to look into...

My USPS package , a small envelope, finally arrived --after a 6 week long trip !! I figured it had just disappeared forever .The PO lady however checked the tracking a full page of destinations showed it still existed just seeing the country !! Six weeks on the road is a tiring journey so it even had a little vacation in FL !!

I am in the midst of a problem with with Amazon, UPS, and a seller. I ordered nitric acid through Amazon, and the seller shipped it by UPS. The bottle cap deteriorated in transit and effectively dumped the acid into the packaging. Big mess developed unpacking when I saw what happened. Called the seller immediately and he was going to send me two quarts 'for amends' and this has never happened to them before. Well, I got the acid today and, you guessed it...one of the bottles was broken and this time I caught it without opening it.

The problem is that the nitric acid fumes reeked havoc on the steel and tools in my shop. Surface rust on everything bare steel. I called the seller again and he ended up hanging up on me. Called Amazon, and the first step...before I can file a damage claim with them...THEY will have the seller call ME to see if this can be
resolved. (hehe). If not, I am to call them back to start the claims process.

And I haven't started with UPS yet. This will get interesting. ...Teddy
