Plunked my ducats down for a Mnandi today... bloodwood inlay, I was hoping for a darker wood with tighter grain but the price was right and it was high time I had one. I've been wanting one for a while now and am in a position to do it and so I did it. Good for me:jerkit: (self-imposed "Jerk It"s are acceptable). Anyway, I went through a bit of an internal struggle regarding the purchase because I don't own a Sebenza presently (I've owned and sold a couple in the past). I managed to get over it just fine, though;).

So, I'm wondering who here owns a Mnandi and not a Sebenza, and if you went through a similar tug-of-war in your head?

Hello fellow Canuck! I did go through that same tug of war before buying my mnandi only because my knife budget has recently gotten tighter due to some medical expenses. I ended up keeping my Seb and of course do not regret it. You'll love the mnandi, its an awesome little knife.

The mnandi is a nicer looking knife in my opinion. From the blade contour to the way the inlays look just is classier in my opinion. This is the reason i decided to purchase a mnandi over a sebenza first. I have other knives that can be used hard if need be. However i am now in the market for a sebenza.

I love all of my mnandi, currently have 4 of them. They are a great little knife. To me, its just a more elegent sebenza. Congrats on the mnandi, make sure you post pics when you get it.

Pics for sure. And I appreciate your use of Mnandi as plural, opposed to Mnandis.

mnandi are truly awesome knives. you cannot go wrong owning one. i am quite sure you will acquire small and large sebbies at some point too. :)

Here is a group pic of my mnandi. The only one I no longer have is the one at 5 oclock ( the light bocote wood ), I traded it for a Neil Roberts. The 4 I have remaining are a Basketweave Damascus/Cocobolo; Bocote; Jigged Madagascar Rosewood; Camel Thorne. I will take a good close up pic in the next day or so for you to enjoy, this one will do until them........I know I will acquire more of them eventually, I like them that much.
